Welcome to my Plaques Gallery

Explore my collection of bespoke house plaques and bottles. Each item is crafted with care and attention to detail, using locally sourced wood and high-quality materials. Browse through the images below to see the designs and customization options available. I don't charge the earth because it is a hobby that keeps my mind focused and body a little active and given health and mobility issues it keeps me sane and my wife less stressed due to me not being under her feet.

Sizes for these hard/ softwood plaques are generally 30cm(L) x 15cm(W), the depth can vary usually between 2cm-5cm. I now plane and flatten the wood as much as possible and are sanded to between 320-600 grit.  But I can do almost any size you wish. They come with a wall mounting kit, I can fit it if you wish prior to postage.

I can personalise the plaque with a personal picture on printable vinyl with a UV protective vinyl top layer and personalised lettering if you wish at No extra cost (no charging by the letter). The only thing that will limit the wording will be the font as some fonts do not scale down very easily. The preferable size is about 1cm in size.

Resin inlays can be produced at an extra cost priced individually upon quantity of resin required (£2-£5 estimated for size of plaque below) and will be finished in a polished state. You can also choose a tabletop epoxy coating  which will give the whole project a glass effect top coat(price on request).

I can not put a RBL Poppy pin on orders going forward as these were for locally produced sales only.

The Vinyl product used is Oracal 651 permanent and will last forever in your house under normal circumstances, 7 years (minimum) in an exterior setting.

If the plaque is inlayed with acrylic resin I use Glass cast and I can make various colours with glitters etc (resin inlay is charged extra per job depending on the size and amount used).

The large hardwood and softwood plaque's can be finished in Danish oil, yacht varnish or water based lacquer and this is included within the cost. I can also finish with a ceramic wood protection H9 coating from Manor wood designs that will protect your design from extra weather damage, UV damage and some scratch prevention for up to 2-3 years. (at an extra cost of £5 for 3 coats).

Curing of the finishes and resins can affect the working time, again I will inform you of this at time of ordering.

Sizes are measured but may vary slightly due to preparation of the plaque (sanding and routing the edges) and colours may vary in pictures and real life slightly due to my poor photography skills and lighting.
